Hi guys, my Makeup Revolution order arrived over a week ago, but I thought I would try out the products before reporting back to you with my initial thoughts.
Ultra Base Correcter Palette
This palette is probably my favourite purchase of them all, the shades contrast imperfections perfectly like pink for darkness and green for redness. They are super creamy and sit beautifully underneath makeup. This definitely rivals other corrector palettes from high end companies but you really can’t go wrong with this at £6.
Highlighter Palette Radiance
After seeing countless reviews raving about this product I knew I finally had to give it a go for myself. I mix the first two shades as an all over face powder and then apply the bronze shade on my cheekbones. They give a subtle shimmer without it looking like you have chunks of glitter on your face.
I have been lusting over the Anastasia powder contour kit for what feels like forever but settled for the leading drugstore dupe which my bank account was much happier about. The banana shade is what I was most excited to try out as an under the eye setting powder but was very pleasantly surprised by the highlight shade in the top right as it is so pigmented.
Setting sprays have taken the youtube/blogging industry by storm but its taken me a while to finally jump on the bandwagon. I haven’t decided whether this actually prolongs the wear of my makeup but I like how it makes my base makeup look – seamless and fresh.
I have my holy grail products in many categories of my makeup but I have never found “the one” when it comes to primer. This primer is comparable to the body shop instablur with a thinner consistency so is easier to apply all over your face.
I <3 Makeup I Tint My Brows – Light Medium
The first time I used this I hated it! I had filled in my brows with a powder then applied this on top like I would apply my gimme brow and it clumped them up alongside making them far too dark. However on a “no makeup” makeup day I find this defines my brows the perfect amount, making them look full which they definitely are not!
After switching up my eyebrow routine from pencil to powder I knew I wanted to delve out and try some more powder eyebrow products. This kit comes with 3 brow shades, a wax, mini tweezers and a mini angled brush – perfect for travelling or on the go.
Since my Maybelline master precise liquid eyeliner dried out, a new liquid liner has been on my shopping list. I was intrigued by the two ends as I thought the idea of having one end for the wing and the other for lining the lash line ingenious!
Pro E104 Eyebrow Brush
Can you believe this was £1.99, yes you heard me correctly, £1.99! I picked up this brush to accompany my eyebrow kit as brushes from kits never tend to be as good as brushes sold individually. All I can say is this brush gets the job done at an amazing price.
Ultra Metals Flat Contour Brush F304
Talking about bargains leads me to the other end of the spectrum with this contour brush from Makeup Revolution’s new luxury brush range. For a great quality and gorgeous brush this isn’t actually expensive at all, it just feels it in comparison to all of their other products. The brush is honestly the softest brush I own and is a dream at applying contour in the hollows of your cheekbones.
Pro E101 Eyeshadow Brush
Eyebrows definitely aren’t my strongest skill and I always tend to make a right mess of them – nothing that can’t be fixed by giving them a clean up though. This brush is tiny, perfect for placing concealer under the brow bone without spoiling your eyeshadow look.
Makeup Revolution is now a firm favourite brand of mine, I adore all the products I picked up and I am dying to try out even more from them!
Have you tried anything from Makeup Revolution, and if so, what is your favourite product?
