So I thought I’d do a different kind of blogpost today as different is good, right? I think everybody is trying to eat healthier especially as summer is here (however the weather doesn’t indicate that) which means beach bodies. Juices are super healthy and actually super tasty too. They can be a great alternative to sugary foods as juices with lots of fruit in are naturally sweet. I have the cookworks whole fruit juicer which I bought just before I started a juice detox. If you don’t know what a juice detox is then it’s basically replacing all solid food with juices. I did this for 3 days, having 5 juices a day alongside coconut water. After completing the detox I felt amazing so I wanted to keep juices in my life on a regular basis. I’ve chosen my favourite orange, yellow and green juice to show you.  
Apple, Pear and Carrot Juice – Orange;

For this juice you will need;

  • 2 red apples
  • 2 pears
  • 1 carrot (I only had miniature ones so I used 3 of them)

This is the perfect juice for breakfast as it’s sweet from the fruit but not too sugary for the start of the day.

It’s pretty self explanatory what you do, simply chop up your ingredients and juice them!

Pineapple, Pepper, Lemon and Ginger Juice – Yellow;

For this juice you will need;

  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 1 lemon
  • Ginger (As much as you want really, it just depends on how strong you want your ginger flavour)   

This is the perfect pick me up juice in the afternoon when you start to lag as it’s sweet and zingy so refreshes you.

Again, you just chop your ingredients up and juice them! Make sure you take the peel off the lemon though as the juice from the lemon peel is bitter!

Cucumber, Apple, Kale and Parsley Juice – Green;

For this juice you will need;

  • 2 cucumbers
  • 2 green apples
  • Small handful of kale
  • Couple of sprigs of parsley
This is the perfect juice to accompany a meal as it is nutritious and tastes more savoury than the other juices.

You don’t have to peel any of these so you just chop them up and chuck them in the juicer!

These recipes are just rough guidelines and the quantities don’t really matter, you’ll just end up with a different but equally as yummy juice.

This 4th of July weekend,  I treated myself to some amazing products that were on such good offers from the body shop. First of all I picked up 4 body butters, I know what you’re thinking, FOUR BODY BUTTERS?!! There was such an insane offer on where you got 4 body butters for £16. The deal was absolutely ridiculous as the body shop body butters sell for £13 each. I’m a massive fan of the body shop body butters as they’re so moisturising and I find they keep my skin hydrated for 24 hours like they say. The scents of all of these are amazing and fresh like how I want to smell in summer. I’ve had the lemon and passion fruit before and they’re so amazing that I really wanted to get my hands on them again.

There was also a deal on in the body shop where signing up to their club was half price and if you signed up you got a free gift worth £10. The free gift was a warming mineral mask, I’m yet to try it out but I really like the look of it. I did do a test on the back of my hand and the self heating sensation felt amazing. Next, I picked up the hemp hand cream as it is the most hydrating hand cream they sell. I’m a massive fan and keen user of the hemp range from the body shop so I really wanted to try this out. 

Newlook do the nicest, affordable and cute summer clothes so of course I picked up this gorgeous playsuit, I’m in love with this pattern. I’m going on holiday this summer so I thought it would be perfect for that and if we have nice weather (we can be wishful) I will wear it over here. The croquet of the neckline is so nice and makes the playsuit that little bit dressier. The short part of the playsuit are really flared but with the fitted top I find that it is really flattering. The last item I picked up was this racer back dress. Hopefully the photo shows that the back hangs longer than the front with slits on both sides. This dress is really short at the front but that’s fine as I’m just going to use it as a coverup to throw on top of my bikini. I love the pattern on this and I think it’s really nice for summer as I’m trying to get a bit of colour into my wardrobe.

Long time no see, sorry about that… I feel over the past few weeks I lost my blogging mojo and school was taking all my undivided attention. I have lots of ideas for blogposts but some of them will require quite a lot of effort and lately I’ve been feeling sluggish and lazy. It’s no excuse I know, I’m getting my mojo back, don’t you worry. 
As I ease myself back into blogging, I want to make sure I’m doing blogposts that I really want to do, even if they aren’t the most popular ones.
I hate to call it a rant because I want it to be more peaceful and laid back than that. This is just me sharing my opinion on a few topics, think of it as that. 
Three words, the education system. The education system BOILS my urine. We’re expected to go through years and years of compulsory eduction then we’re expected to willingly got to sixth form or college and then teachers and people around us expect us to go to university. It’s freaking exhausting. I haven’t even finished my compulsory eduction and I’m dreading my future, I’m scared. It’s drilled into us that if we fail one exam, we’ll fail our whole life. How are we suppose to be passionate about our education when teachers around us are saying they hate their work and they wish they weren’t at school?  
Nasty, petty and cruel people – don’t even get me started. Everybody is fighting they own battles so why make somebody else’s life deliberately harder? Why point out people’s flaws like acne, being overweight or being underweight. Personally I don’t think these things are flaws, but people speak about them in such a cruel way that they are portrayed as them. I will never ever mention names but their is a girl in my school who had something very bad happen to her and she told one person and it got spread around. Thinking about what happened to her makes me feel sick but people (especially boys) still feel it’s okay to surround her and ask her about it. Not in a caring, compassionate way but an “I already know what happened but I want to embarrass you and make you feel like shit” kind of way.  This makes me so unbelievably angry and just because somebody acts like it doesn’t bother them, I’m sure behind closed doors it really does.
I think I’m just going to stick to three topics to rant about because I don’t want to drown you in how I feel. The last topic is friends. Friends? Or people I spend 5 days a week with? They say you don’t come into your true self until you leave school, but what about the unhappy and fake you that you carry around school every day. I can literally watch people back stab each other within the space of five minutes. Girl especially. Girls comment lovely things on other girl’s instagrams then the next minute they slag them off saying how their hair looks rubbish or their thighs look fat. If I’m being hand on heart brownie promise honest, there is only one person I go to school with that I could see myself talking to when I leave school. These girls have 30 best friends, so clearly not real best friends. Lastly, WHY oh WHY do people feel the need to go out drinking every single weekend. You have the rest of your lives to do that, slow down. The same with sex, so many young girls I know are rushing into it and I just want to tell them to slow down, you have the rest of your life to do those things – enjoy your childhood because promise me it’s very nearly over. 

Sometimes I feel like I write my blogposts and nobody reads or enjoys them. Let me know what your favourite kind of blogposts I write are, it would be really helpful so I know what you really want to read instead of me rambling on about stuff you couldn’t give a toss about.
